Ex banker converted into a vocational farmer. Josep organises day to day life at Celler and is the one who is always present at the majority of tastings and activities, and who also always answers the telephone. A calm man. His kindness is from another world.
One never knows if he is at the Pessets Hotel or at Celler Batlliu. The most sought after man since the disappearance of Hamprey Boggart. Agronomical engineer transformed into local economic promotion engineer. He was born with hair but he lost it on the way and now shows off his baldness in style. If it wasn’t for him, we would live in a complete anarchy. His personal pantry is a mine full of our wines.
Economist and with his youth in numbers and the stock market, nowadays, he has switched to being head chef at the star restaurant, Cafè Pessets de Sort. One for contrasts: hippie-yuppie, anarchist-capitalist, calm-radical… He is not characterised by his rapid decision making but for what he contributes to the table.
Dominicans by birth but Pallars has officially adopted them. The wines of Celler Batlliu are made from the blood of their blood and the vineyard is their battle ground. They look after every plant as if it were their child.. Real gentleman bearing their sickle and scaring every possible female away.

Winemakers and not analysts. They know so much about wine that when they come to the Celler no one dares speak as their word is like the Word of God. They don’t really know where they’re from as they never sit still, but we all secretly know that their world is called Viti Vinifera.
